Type of a scam: Debt Collections

First got a call from a blocked number saying that I’m being served next week from “the county” court. They left the number of the law firm that was processing the account. I called the number 8136088139 and talked to a very rude person on the phone saying I owed over 5 figures on a credit card I had 20 years ago. After several discounts I told her I still cannot pay and she hung up and the called back that they will send a garnishment through my job and hung up again. Very threatening. I guess I’ll find out soon if this is a scam. Trust that if I get a summons I will hire a lawyer and contact the FTC.

8136088139 called my husband and my number claiming to be working with "the" county to share that a judgment would be filed next week. County has no record, call back 5x and it's a generic voicemail asking to leave personal details for a call back. Complete and total scam. Franklin Cole and Associates Florida does not exist. Calls come through as spam and "111111111"

Claim to be with a law firm and that I owed $28,000 and cursed my husband out. They called again and when I asked for details about the debt she became very angry and hung up on me. I can’t find anything about the law firm online and the name she gave me matches an attorney who passed away in 2022.

Calls from multiple numbers from multiple states with multiple firm names and a list of fake names she gives. I have been playing with this lady for 4 years calling her from spoof numbers. Makes me laugh how mad she gets... but hey... if I'm keeping her busy... she's leaving other folks alone!
