They offered to interview me for a job as a graphic designer. They "interviewed" me over chat in skype. The company was supposed to be a Japanese beauty company with an office in Nevada. After texting back and forth on skype, they said I was hired and they had me email them my information (e.g. phone number, address). It seemed legit because it was a graphic design position paying $30 an hour. But then they said I needed to buy all this equipment from them to start working, like a new computer, a wacom tablet, and photoshop (I already own my own computer and tablet, and photoshop is a subscription. You can't "buy" it). They kept pressuring me to pay right away, even though I told them I couldn't begin working for a few weeks anyway.
