I was contacted by a text message for employment after I put my application on Indeed for pt evening work. The whole thing seemed suspicious from the beginning but I an older and know job hunting is different now. After being contacted I was told to download the telegram app and click a link to speak to a recruiter. We communicated for several days before receiving a check for supplies. In the beginning I was told the equipment would be sent to me and now I get a check for supplies and it came from a different company on a Saturday. They insisted I deposit the check that day thru Atm deposit and I advised my bank no longer does Atm deposit, then they wanted it done by mobile banking but the funds were not available. They then processed to ask me to purchase supplies needed for traing on Tuesday and that is when I know for sure it was a scam. I informed my bank to reject the check and trace. It was a fraudulent check. I removed the app off my phone and removed the contact #. The bank personal advised they gained access when I clicked on the link in the text message. Always go with your gut if things are no guide right.
