A woman named Navaeh called me saying she was from some life insurance group and that my policy had lapsed through my employer. She listed my name, my birthday, my address, and my job correctly. She then asked for my SSN and I told her I wasn't comfortable giving her that information. She then said it was for HIPAA, and that she would send me her credentials to look up. The call randomly hung up after the email came through. I never gave her my SSN. What's crazy is she sounds like a real nice person. She was talking about us both being libras and fully got off topic at one point. Idk. It was weird.
