This business is a marketing firm hiring entry level sales positions for their current client. Each manager has a personal, associated website. I know of two, https://www.cincygrind.com/ (aka Cincy Grind) and https://www.welcometolaunch.com/ (aka Launch513). Edward Jacques and his wife Jane are the heads of office. These sites post purposefully misleading marketing and event jobs on Indeed, promising hourly pay and enticing job descriptions. These posts are honeypots meant to sucker in job searchers.

What this job *actually* was was a commission based sales position with no base pay with 10 hours shifts. You are heavy-handedly encouraged to arrive at 9am, do pitch practice and review concepts til 11, take part in a hype meeting, and then stand in a Walmart / Kroger for 7 hours, 6 days a week, pitching internet / tv / mobile plans to people. All communication is done through WhatsApp chat rooms to hide conversations. I talked with many other employees before they left. Most all of them felt scammed, having applied for an unrelated position and receiving a sales job. Turnover was incredibly high. Confusion about our basic pay structure was the status quo. Managers never give a straight answer when pressed.

This duplicitous behavior with job posts and hours worked feels borderline illegal so I thought I'd report it here.
