I ordered a western style hat from Chicmatchy.com on 5-20-2024. The product was delivered on 6-15-2024 with a return label from Jerry Yasfbara 9208 Charles Smith Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The hat was mailed in a plain gray plastic bag instead of a hatbox. The hat's brim was completely folded over with permanent creases in it. In addition to the crumpled hat, the bag contained another bag of rocks placed on top of the hat further crushing it. Except for the color, the hat does not resemble the product on their website. I wrote to customer service explaining the situation and requested a return authorization and a full refund along with photos of the hat and bag of rocks. The company sent an email saying to donate the hat to charity and they would issue a 10% refund. I replied back that was unacceptable and wanted a full refund. They responded with a 100% refund offer , but I would be liable for shipping the hat back to them. I agreed and requested an address label. They then replied that I could keep the hat and they would issue a 30% refund, if I agreed. I again refused the 30% refund offer and requested a full refund and mailing instructions. The company has not responded in over forty-eight hours. I called American Express as I used that card for the purchase. Their dispute resolution center said the company was out of China and I would need to wait until the end of June 2024 to file a claim.
