I filled out all their questions - they would not show me homes for rent without me paying some company called usa.experian.com $1.08 for a 7-day subscription to send them my credit report, which I could have gotten for free. Then, when I returned to the site, they shuffled me off to a rent-to-own site, which I didn't want. Finally, they gave me a phone number. It doesn't answer. I plan to tell my credit card company. Don't think I won't. BEWARE of cheaprentals.org

Found this website looking for affordable apartments in Joliet. Was contacted by a man who called himself Mike with a thick Indian accent. Then received a text message from a woman named and supposedly. After speaking with Mike he connected me with somebody to discuss my credit thank God when they ask for my social security number I didn't feel comfortable giving it to them and hung up and decided to look up the website to see if it had any other reviews and came across many saying the exact same thing as I am. Do not give them your information or you will be very sorry I can guarantee that

I am on the verge of becoming homeless, because I can’t afford my rent. So I started looking for apartments that has cheapest rent and I came across cheap rentals.org, and was surprised to see how low their rent was. So I got excited, and started filling out their questionnaire, then it ask for my credit score, but I just skip around it, then I got this text message from a lady who’s name is Ann Stevens, for some reason I started feel uneasy, so I checked online to see if they were legitimate, thank God i found out that this was a scam. This is so disgusting what this people are doing.

I am homeless looking for a place to live. Searched in Google houses for rent Columbus Ohio and this site popped up. I selected the options I was looking for. Everything seemed legit. Then it said your credit determines what you rent and directed me to a website for credit check. I went to CreditKarma cause it was free. The original site also asked for my name and phone number. I received a text from Ann asking me when and where a good time would be to talk I tried to set that up and the bot kept repeating the text over and over as I was doing this I received a call from a man +18592957455 he said he was from cheaprentals.org really thick Indian accent. He asked what my credit score was and then said it was okay and that we could work on that score then asked did I have any problems paying online I said if I had to to rent I could at this point I had a screaming voice in my head that said stop. Wish I would have looked online first before just clicking away like a dummy. It's okay I don't have any credit that's worth anything so I'm not too concerned.other than they can run my score down with possible application submissions. But that's it. Thankfully. I've already lost everything in the last 2 years so but if we can stop others from falling prey I'm here to help

I'm homeless looking for a place to live. I typed in houses for rent Columbus ohio. The site asks for a few bits of info and they get enough to validate who you are and then possibly use that info to get other things. I should of hung up soon as I heard the Indian on the line. Sad cause I dont want to associate indians with scams. The number that texted me said her name was Ann but then a call I received was a man. +18592957455 said it came from Kentucky. Credit Repair fix your credit as you rent was the ploy. The text and call are two different numbers like there's someone here local and they forward the call. Dunno I hung up soon as he started to ask for online payment info.

I work with an organization that helps families in the area find housing and basic needs that need to be met. As I was looking online for houses for rent, I came across the website cheaprentals.org. The deals seemed too good to be true. I had already Googled houses for rent in this area and none of these homes came up, only on cheaprentals.org. Then, I Googled the company name and it came up under several links that it's a scam.

Yes, it's very hard to find legit places to rent. I live in Florida and I'm having a hard time locating an affordable home for my daughter and I along with our dogs. We are homeless and desperate to find a place and it's so sad that people would take advantage of us.

People came to our house asking if it was still for rent. Found out that our address is listed on said website.

The house that my husband and I own is listed on this website for rent! It is not for sale or rent we live there. This website is trying to scam people! Do not fall for it!
