Stewart spritzer representing CBE group attempt to collect debt for treasury debt. No letters received or prior notice. Call on 3-28-2024. 10 a.m. 971-352-3410. Client debt number 17233241 from treasury. Original debt was $690. No date of debt or other info. How can we find this accurately?

Someone tried to call me from this number, probably about a debt which I don’t owe. All of my accounts are in good standing. Knowing that, I simply reject the call and block the [censored]. They keep trying to get me on the phone with different numbers using a slight variation in the last 4 digits. The other numbers that they have used are 702-984-2692 and 702-984-2656. I have researched that company and found that the real Debt Collection numbers are 866-912-1312, 319-234-6686, and 913-661-5200.

After reading other reports, I am amazed that they have been able to get so many people on the phone! If I am not 110% certain that a call is safe and about something that legally pertains to me, I simply ignore and block the call. I DO NOT LET SCAMMERS GET ME ON THE PHONE TO TALK TO ME ABOUT ANYTHING WHATSOEVER!

They keep calling from the same area code and prefix just district last 4 digits. I tell them to quit calling my son's number ava that he is a minor. They look up his number showingthat it is supposedly removed from their system but yet here gets 4 more random calls from them. I told them I will be releasing this But it doesn't seem to stop then from calling at all times of the day.

The scammers left a message with my 89 year old grandmother telling her that they were "calling to collect a debt." The voice was very nasty, and told her to call the number immediately so that no legal action would be taken. She has no debt, so she knew not to call, but it frightened her. Another older person who has debt might be taken for their money.

I was contacted by a person who identified herself as a debt collector for CBE Group. The made me an offer to settle this debt for a greatly reduced amount after several attempts were made to get the debt paid in full. They gave me an account number, reference number, and a phone number to call when I was ready to pay. When I called the number a recorded message came on saying the company's name and then disconnected. I went to the Internet, found the website for CBE Group contacted them and was told there was no record of an account in collection with there agency.

It is good that you did some research. The difference between you and me is that if I am not 110% certain that a call is safe and about something that legally pertains to me, I simply decline and block the call. I DO NOT LET SCAMMERS GET ME ON THE PHONE TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING WHATSOEVER!

The person on the phone wants me to reveal my personal information to them, and when I ask her to reveal the name of her company and where is the location of the company, she refused and kept on insisting that i give my personal information to her. This CBE group calls everyday and their agents are rude and refuses to explain why they are calling me.

Scammer calls saying we have a Direct TV bill not paid. I contacted Direct TV and we have no outstanding debts to them. The company gives me a numbers and says I need to give them credit card information now to resolve. Completed and utter **.

This so called company CBE Group has taken a total of $1028.63 from an account of mine for something I DO NOT OWE! My attorney has contacted them as have I. The BBB has also contacted them. They are posing as govt. entities and even using a facimilly of the govt. Logo to do this. They are once again threatening to take MORE money from my account if I do not pay some bill..of which I OWE nothing for and have never used Medicaid as any source of income that they state I did. I am tired and angry that I have had to waste so much of my time fighting with and about this fradulent company. And yet they continue to get away with scaling not only me but other people too. How does this sort of thing happen?, and why are they NOT being investigated by the govt. for use of their name and logals? How and what can I do as a consumer who is being robbed of money I DO NOT OWE?

Caller id shown unknown name: 133-665-3264. The message claimed to be CBE debt collection. The number they gave to return was 913-608-8670. The website has a third number. When I called 913-608-8670, the number was not available.

The CBE Group located in Cedar Falls, Iowa contacted me regarding a supposed unpaid debt on behalf of Time Warner Cable. They made up bogus information and attempted to collect this bogus debt on behalf of Time Warner Cable. I have excellent credit and had my suspicions this was a scam. My suspicions were confirmed when I contacted Time Warner Cable directly. I hope no one falls prey to this obvious attempt to collect. This company should be shut down. They are predators. The email I received from them is full of personal information and I will not upload it to this site, but I hope this complaint will be taken seriously. Far too many people are taken advantage of by groups like this that continue to operate under the guise of "helpful" companies. Personally, I suspect money scams for profit, money laundering or the sale of personal information to other less than reputable companies for profit.
