I was messaged by the account of the founder of Catalyst Circles on LinkedIn after applying for a job. I was told to email Emeric Winslow via [email protected] with my most updated resume, completed an interview via email, and was offered a position as an Instructional Designer as a remote job. I even emailed the founder to ensure everything was legit. There was an email response that ensured it was. Then I even signed the offer letter. They noted they would be sending me a check in the mail to cover the cost of purchasing equipment such as a MacBook, external monitor and hard drive, etc. I requested information regarding my benefits, supervisor contact, etc. and was told I would get that information after I purchased the equipment and set up my office. They then texted me as Lana Smith, the "onboarding manager" requesting the name of my banking institution so they could send me an electronic check to deposit in my bank's mobile app.
