I returned a phone call to a number left on my phone. A woman answered and stated I owe on a loan I took out in 2016, she said she would help me because all the associates were busy. She told me the last four digits of my social security number. She said the loan was from Carvers. I told her I never took out a loan and I don't owe any loans but school loans. She became upset with me and hung up. I called back and she put a man on the phone named John. He told me someone took out a loan for $1003 dollars in 2016 and paid back half the loan over 3 years and I would only have to pay $530 dollars. I told him I don't owe any loan and I'm not paying anything. They told me an old address I lived at not in 2016 though. They also called my daughter previously. But she never answered before. Today she called with me listening. They told her the same thing. I owe a debt. I know it's a scam but I'm upset because they've been researching me probably online.
