The scam is that products are not as advertised. I bought 2 pairs of shoes that were described as orthopaedic. They were little more than foam with no support whatsoever. The website claimed that items were returnable within 30 days. They are but it was going to cost more than $200 to ship them back to China. I also purchased a "denim" dress. The dress was denim coloured but made from broadcloth.

Carter Toronto advertisement appeared on YouTube or Instagram. The site, CarterToronto.com, looked Canadian and the products looked good. The shoes I bought were advertised as leather and orthopedic. They were however shipped from China and arrived in random shoe boxes. The shoes were inside in a plastic bag with a card, both with Carter Toronto printed on them. The shoes are made of very cheap materials, the sole of the orthopedic shoe is so flimsy it can be bent in half easily, not leather. I lost $160.00.
