Applied for an IT Support Specialist role on LinkedIn for Easton Technology. Received an email from [email protected] requesting an assessment with some tech questions. Nothing personal in the assessment and didn't raise any flags. That was on Friday June 5. Today, Monday June 8, I received an offer letter of employment without any interview or background check, red flag. They offered an initial wage of $80/hr and a check for any startup costs, red flag. After a little research, the domain was recently created and doesn't use https. More than likely a fake check scam.
