Cruise booking canceled after payment, deposit only

I booked a cruise through this person. I was told it was paid in full and we were "all set". I checked on the cruise website and yes, the cruise was booked!! I was emailed by connie this week that all reservation are being canceled and that her company is no more. Where's my money? I contacted the cruise line and yes, she canceled it, but she had only placed a non refundable deposit of $500. I was told it was paid in full.... where's the rest? Also, in order for me to use the $500, I need the TRAVEL ADVISOR to sign off on it,..... which she can't because her attorney won't allow her to speak to clients. After reading other peoples struggles with the agent, I consider myself lucky it wasn't a larger amount.

Vacation booking not honored after payment

I knew Connie personally and booked a Mexico Vacation through her business. Connie sent us all of the confirmations, and we sent payment via Venmo. We were alerted to a local news article saying Connie took other people's money and cancelled their trips and kept their money. So, we reached out to confirm our reservations for flights, hotels and travel insurance the reservations were no longer valid. We have not received our money back.
