I received a call from a caller claiming that’s he’s with Capital One Fraud Department. He claimed that he’s calling because they noticed that someone in Texas just used my debit card at Target in Houston Texas for $1000. I told him I don’t understand how because I don’t even use the card. I’ve never used the card so how did anyone get access to my card. I asked him his name again and he said his name was Jonathan Washington. He asked me to log into my account and see if I notice any transaction that shouldn’t be there. I told him I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. He then kept telling me that I previously used Zelle and transfer money to someone and he even gave me the name of the person I transferred the money to.He then said he’ll reset my account info that way they can’t access any thing else. He said he’ll send me a code to reset the pass word. I opened the message which was from Capital One so I thought it was valid. And that’s where they get you to accept some type of code and they transfer your money through Zelle. Next thing I know I get another email from capital one that I transferred 2k to that person.
