I purchased a ROKU Plus and wanted to add my Sirius XM app.The app has you scan a qr code, once you scan the qr code a number pops up that say you need to call that number in order to finish setting up your account. The scammer who answered the phone stated they were going to assist me in completing setting up my account, they asked me if I wanted to change my plan from a single year to a promotion plan that they offered at $299.99 for 5 years, which I purchased then requested a form of payment. At that time i provided my credit card information. After receiving my payment information the scammer provided his name, phone number and the name of the company. The Sirius app loaded and was able to use the Sirius XM app on the Roku Plus,so I really did not think it was a scam until I checked my Sirius XM account the next day and there was not any charges listed, talked to Sirius XM and they could not find any charges of that amount on my account. So some how the scammer is able to get between Roku and Sirius XM. I spoke with Sirius XM gave them all the info,I just tried to recreate what happened by deleting and logging out of my SIRIUS XM account, and adding the app back on the ROKU and everything was the same except the page to call in to verify did not show up...UGH...
