Bees wax bread bags by 1 get 1 free via their facebook page/ads. I purchased the product offering, now I can't track my order, can't email the company, nor can I call them as their phone is not being answered, possibly disconnected.

I saw a story on Instagram about Brenner Bakery in Rhinebeck, NY, closing shop, the owner retiring after many years. They made sourdough bread. I then googled the company and found their website and it seemed totally legit. I ordered their beeswax coated bag to keep sourdough bread in, but it never arrived, and the shipping number did not correspond to any shipper, like IPS, USPS or FedEx. So I emailed them and asked. They sent back a generic email that answered none of my questions. Subsequently, I googled to see if Brenner Bakery is a scam, and apparently it is. I can’t believe I fell for this.

Original message was on Facebook. I was able to browse to the store's website (I'm no longer able to) to order the bread bags. I didn't receive a confirmation email (I took a screenshot) and never received the product. I know better than to order anything that is advertised on Facebook.

The Brenner Bakery website advertised premium priced products (hand-made beeswax-lined bread bags, sourdough bread kits), claimed to be sewn by hand in the USA, in the Hudson Valley, and were being offered as a part of the retirement of the business owner. The goods I received were not as described on the website (the bread making kit was missing 2 items; the four beeswax heavy canvas bags I ordered were instead plastic-lined thin cotton bags), that were shipped tightly-wrapped in plastic without standard packaging materials from California, not New York state. The tracking information included "parcel leaving port" on July 23, 2026 and a "customs clearance" date of July 24, 2026 prior to delivery on July 26th, 2026. Others have reported a similar negative experience when receiving their products from this company.

My debit card was canceled due to the scam. Bought 6 bread bags that were supposed to be bees wax lined, and have a nostalgic Brenner Bakery logo from Hudson Valley, NY. I was planning on giving them as special gifts. I received 6 generic bags and one tiny roll of beeswax wrap. The shipping had to go through customs each shipping twice and then the packages were shipped from DORIS(001)*YASFBARA 9208 CHARLES SMITH AVE, RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA FIRST SENT BY AIR, THEN DHL and then the last mile shipping by USPS. The whole site is a fake, No Bakery, No Baker, they sent a product that was sub par to what you thought you were ordering. I contacted them at the info@brennerbakery several times. They wanted pictures of products, and they came back with the product is lined in beeswax. It is not, it is plastic lined that the article says it should not have.

Brenner Bakery does not exist.

There is no Hollis Brenner. Bags are not as pictured and not as described.
