A friend that previously never asked to message me on Messanger asked if I heard the government was giving out money, she asked if I knew if I qualified or not. So I texted the number, and they said I did, they asked a lot of personal information (full name, adddress, text number, gender, where I live, email address, occupation, whether I had a bank account or owned a house, had a credit card) unfortunately I gave them it thinking that my friend wouldn’t lead me astray. But then they asked for 750 bucks. I don’t have that kind of money, and I remembered a coworker telling me how someone had copied someone she knows on Facebook and asked for this too. I told them only had $25 of spending money, and that I was uncomfortable with the situation and I wasn’t going to do it, I blocked their number and blocked the “friend” on messenger. And created a new email and quickly went to all of my financial emails accounts to it. Don’t know what to do about the phone number, I’m regretting have given them that.
