I keep getting multiple calls a day from Ethan Cole with the tax resolution oversight department. This "company" keeps calling from different numbers and I am growing increasingly frustrated.

got an automated call from Angela with Tax Group LLC stating "Our records show you may have some past unpaid taxes and our company specializes in enrolling people in a new zero program which makes these amounts nonbillable. Please give us a call back at 773-377-6989 so we can get this handled by the end of May. When calling please use code 8252. If you would like to opt out call back the caller ID and press 2." Caller ID number was 308-207-1279.

I keep receiving these calls from 417-601-0675 and within the call they have another number 201-267-1193 about tax debt collections. They are saying they can help me to get rid of tax debt but I have paid all of my taxes. I called ScamPulse.com to report the scam.

BBB received telephone call from very frantic and upset consumer stating she received a notice in the mail regarding a tax lien on her home address but listed as Still Fork Contracting LLC. The said company was listed as "Federal Taxing Authorities" with Notice Number - 1543609 and to please call 1-855-200-8305. The tax lien is listed as $67,477 and to please respond by 8/18/2023. Threatening the avoidance of wage garnishment, seizure of property or assets, strongly encouraging the consumer to take action.

Consumer stated she is not affiliated with Still Fork Contracting, LLC. Still Fork Contracting, LLC is a registered business with the Ohio Secretary of State at another location in Minerva, OH.

Consumer also verified with Carroll County Auditor that it was not a real bill and there is no tax lien on her property. ScamPulse.com requested consumer to submit paperwork to our office since she doesn't have internet access to report a scam. Consumer did not pay any money, share any confidential information, or contact the scam artist. ScamPulse.com verified that the 800 number provided is known as a scam number and doesn't match the telephone number to the Carroll County Treasurer's Office.

I received a letter from the IRS stating someone had filed a tax return for 2022. I haven't filed since 2020. I have notified the IRS it was not me. I also froze my credit accounts. I feel it necessary to let the ScamPulse.com know this happened.

So I have not yet dealt with anything else I just got off the phone with this person and I realized that the way his name is spelled seems like it's from Saudi Arabia or something, And I cannot seem to find a business with his name and his number he said was personal which I don't think people would ever give out their personal number so it's definitely a scam and I'm stopping it before it starts but I've already given him all my information so I mean all I can do is freeze my accounts I guess

My daughter got a letter from IRS Department of the Treasury, Austin, TX, 3651 S IH 35, STOP 6579 AUSC saying she had to immediately contact the IRS. (Potential identify theft) The IRS is outsourcing a company to check ID, called IDme, and it has made me put my daughters SSN in 8 times, take a photo of her drivers license (back and front) and then made her take a selfie - at which point they can't "identify her" and asked for a photo of the front and back of her SS card (back and front). No way is that right.

Certified mail stating “notice of pending assignment” like it is a tax lien letter from Flathead county. The phone number is for the county treasurer. This is obviously a way to put a lien on property with unpaid taxes and try to gain money from property owner in some devious scheme

Received two calls today saying I was in serious legal trouble and "Cops" would be sent to arrest me if I did not return the call immediately. Second call was the same but from a different phone number.

i DID NOT return the call.

I am receiving daily calls from these 2 phone numbers. It is a pre-recorded recording stating that if I do not call them back that I will be arrested by our local sheriff. The message is long enough that they can actually leave a message on your phone. This needs to be stopped. They are going to call elderly people that are going to believe them.
