Selected a job posting. Received message and link to interview on Teams. Was told going to be sent computer, laptop, scanner, printer and they needed to put a toggle time tracker on them. They sent me an emailed check, which I have done before legitimately, so I didn't think anything of it. Was sent an application to fill out which has my personal info on it. Don't even know if it was legit but I know I gave information thinking I had a job and it was just part of the process. We used CashApp to transfer funds once check was in my personal account. Made the transaction with bitcoin because I don't know how every company and individual contractor works in the world. I was just trying to get a job. Bank called me next day and told me everything is locked, I cannot recover funds, CashApp will not recover funds either.
