Description
An advertisement appeared as a Wayfair ad for a kitchen cabinet on Facebook Marketplace. It appeared legit until I got the e-mail "confirming" my purchase, which was not really a confirmation. So I instantly started to do research. And kept running into brick walls. There was a “[email protected]" email that I reached out to. Still waiting for a response or reply. The withdrawal from my bank came from "Ohmmi" for $61.18. Which I found out as of today is in Singapore from a police officer that I filed a claim with. 04/19/25.
I went to the link again when I placed the order 03/11/2025 and it says "site you are trying to visit has been identified as a forgery, intended to trick you into disclosing financial, personal or other sensitive information.
If you believe that this site is not actually a phishing site, you can report an incorrect warning". I have since cancelled my card and filed a claim with cash app that keeps denying my claim stating "Based on the information available to us, our investigation has led us to determine that the merchant fulfilled their obligations for the goods/services associated with this transaction. As a result, your dispute has been denied". So I will be refilling the claim and filing a police report number. I have reached out to Facebook as well and will soon contact Singapore.
