AVA Beauty Supply Reports & Reviews (1)

- Owings Mills, MD, USA

I made the mistake of ordering online from and instagram ad for a Beachwaver curling iron that was being advertised as 50% off from this Ava Beauty Supply, which also goes by AvaSupply, and ShopAva .The company stated they were from California, but the charge on my account was from Toronto, Canada, and the product came from China. They also tried to include some hair oil that they advertised was for free, but was really a scam so that they could charge you a monthly fee of $29 if you accepted it. I told them to remove it from my order completely as I did not authorize any subscription. This knockoff curling iron, not a Beachwaver by any means, came wrapped in bubble wrap and that is all. No box, nothing. It was clearly a knockoff as the quality was horrible and the layout of the buttons were completely different. I contacted them telling them that this was clearly fraud and that I wanted a full refund. They not only did not refund my account, but continued to make three separate unauthorized fraudulent charges to my account in the amount of over $200. This company was just founded in 2017. Consumers beware, this website is clearly fraud and once they get your account number they will make unauthorized charges which then have to be disputed. This company did its advertising on Instagram. I will be alerting Instagram as well.
