I directly booked two seats on Asiana Airlines website. I received a confirmation email with the itinerary. I noticed that the seat numbers were not on the itinerary even though I had purchased the seats. I googled a contact number to call Asiana Air. This webpage had the number for Asiana Airlines, https://www.steadyhealth.com/topics/how-to-get-in-touch-with-asiana-airlines-via...⇄ so I called the number (888) 793-3403 as mentioned in the webpage. A representative who referred to himself as a partner call center Asiana Air answered my call. I explained that I had purchased seats but seat numbers do not show up on the itinerary. The scammer told me that I was on "waitlist" and that my flight is not confirmed. He told me that I have to pay $788.10 to confirm my flight. I gave my credit card number and I was charged $788.10. I realized that it was a scam the next day when I called Asiana Air directly the number that I found on Asiana Air's website.

The scammers appear to have taken control of a webpage on www.steadyhealth.com (link is above) to insert the scammers' number as Asiana Air's customer service number.
