I clicked on the website to get a quote on individual medical insurance that is NOT in the healthcare dot gov website. You click on myself or family, put in your zip code then it has you click on the button to 'call for quote'. The rep took all my personal information and told me everything I wanted to hear about getting a GREAT medical insurance company with no co pays, etc. I gave her my debit card number. They sent the charge twice but them or my bank ended up crediting one of the charges. I never received a confirmation email or anything at all stating I was accepted, signed up or when to receive my explanation of benefits and medical card. Since I did that on April 2, 2024, I have received ten calls a day from 'Arizona' area code numbers, all of them saying that I did not sign up with 'THEIR' company and they attempt to start the whole process again. Very pushy type salesmen. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. I might get credited back in ten days. I have a HUGE list of 'blocked' numbers from them attempting to call me daily that I can print out and send if need be. I did a google search on the main number and it is listed as fraud by other people as well, all same scenario. If you try to call the 800#, no one answers.
