Im writing to you as an upset and heartbroken small business owner based in California. I am a small solo-preneur working to promote and grow my beauty business in one of the most expensive cities in the world. I am located in Fremont California and as a small business have been struggling to keep my doors open and make an income for myself.

Like every small business owner, I put everything I have into my business and hope that all my sacrifices and hard work will help me to move forward. In a desperate attempt to save my business and invest in marketing for new clientele I reached out to the company Lash Launch by Sohayb Alborno (*************** based in Florida. I was referred to his business by a friend in the same industry when discussing my dilemma and trouble finding new clientele for my business. She had briefly mentioned his business, but I had not asked for further insights.

I reached out to the lash launch team and had a meeting set up with his assistant Daniela for onboarding. I was happy to pay $2500 to have him help me learn how to run successful ads to help me get clients. Only after onboarding was I informed of his method of advertisement. I was told that I would have to discount my services in order to attract clients. On top of the daily ad spending being put onto me and my account I would now have to make less than 25% less for my services.

As I worked with Sohayb there were a lot of red flags that came up while I was working with him to set up my campaigns. All of the photos that were used for the campaigns were not my work. They were collages and photos from other artists that were not my work and not up to the quality of photos I wanted. It is also not my intellectual property so I felt as though it was false advertising. I had plenty of organic content myself and had even sent him plenty of my photos and content that were great quality that I have taken over the years.

The next issue I had with Sohayb was the spending on ads. He mentions on his website that spending would not go above $175 per week, but for the first month of running solely lash extension ads I spend over 1,126.84 which is about $281 a week which is almost $300 a week and not at all what I was expecting or what we had agreed upon. As you can imagine this was extremely stressful for me because I was not getting clients like I was promised. He guarantees 100 clients booked within 3 months of his services, but I received only 5 clients for a grand total of $530. I did not even make back the money for the ad spending with these clients on top of his $2500 fee to teach and help me with running the ads. This would average out to 15 clients in 3 months if I were to maintain his system which was clearly not working for me and aligning with my goals. I communicated with him that I could not sustain this multiple times and when I communicated dissatisfaction that is when he decided to stop communication with me.

The last issue I had with Sohayb is that he did not teach me how to run ads, monitor my content , or help me or answer my calls and texts. Lash campaigns is what Sohayb claims to specializes in, but when we discussed my plan for running ads long term and why I wanted to learn, I expressed I wanted to run waxing ads as well. I offer multiple beauty services in my business and would like to market them so I thought that this would be a good investment for me. More red flags raised when I asked him to help me set up my waxing campaign. I attempted to set up an ad and asked him to review it on Friday November 1st, I asked him to review the campaign to make sure I did everything right before it went live that Monday. He said he would, but never confirmed that he did. When I checked back on the week of the 4th my ads manager had reported that there were messages coming in from the ad, but I could not see them. I immediately reached out to Sohayb as to why that was and he could not tell me why. He told me to end the campaign which I did and then he made a new one, and guess what, same issue! I told him I could not pay for and sustain campaigns that I could not see and get messages for because then I cannot convert these leads into clients.

If you are a professional, why are you unable to answer my questions when I ask you something. If I pay you to teach me something, why do we not do calls where you explain what button does what or have a program that is prerecorded teaching me how to run ads. It Is really not that hard there are a lot of digital creators who have done all these things and have made a real business out of it. I being clearly upset tried to reach out to his assistant Daniela (+1619-485-6012) and asked for the refund policy and money back guarantee. She responded that she would send it right away and not only never sent it, ignored my calls and texts from then on. When I reached out to Sohayb he said that he would send it right after his calls for the day. I voiced my concern about the ad spending, the photos on the ads not being my own on November 12th. He mentioned that there was no refund policy on coaching so that notified me that the original agreement I signed was no longer valid because I paid him for a different package. He never sent me the original agreement yet again and then never changed the photos for my ads. I asked him on November 14th 10:43am PST when he would have time to talk today or tomorrow. I received no response, so as a result I disputed the charges because now he and his assistant were no longer responding to me.

I am extremely disappointed and disheartened that I did not do more research on his business as there are no reviews online. There is no google page, yelp reviews or anything on him since his business is solely online. After reaching out to the friend who had mentioned him at the lash convention I went to, she did tell me he was extremely controversial in the industry and that people either love or hate his services.

I am upset and taking action because as a small business owner this is devastation to me, my health and my business. To work so hard to have to pay for a service that I did not receive, and to be ghosted by another small business owner is unacceptable. I am hoping that my experience and me writing this can help prevent other people from getting scammed. I am also hoping that me reporting his business will not allow him to make money off of others unethically, and he can have an eye kept on him for his future business practices.
