Type of a scam Employment

Was emailed saying my resume was chosen and was later taken to microsoft team. I was later asked a bunch of questions about my name, address, if i had credit cards, phone number, phone carrier, and email. after the supposed interview i was told i was hired and that i would get a laptop sent to me as well as compensation money for applications and a sign on bonus that was never mentioned. after further investigation i realized the person had an outlook email and the email i got the email from didnt match it either. ([email protected])

I literally got an email just like this and googled them and looked up there company. I don’t think the company is really even though the website looks real.

I’ve been on working to long for it too work on my but someone younger could get caught.

Some Red Flags too look out for:
1. Couldn’t remember applying to them. (If you apply online all companies send you an email Thanking you for applying)
2. Email seemed offer me a job but also ask for an interview
3. My name wasn’t in the email just “Dear Candidate”
4. Position I applied for wasn’t listed but a long list of positions were
5. Listed compensation but I hadn’t been interviewed by them at all
6. An “@outlook.com” email (Any pharmaceutical company a can afford a real business email)
7. Contact email, email that sent me the job email, and company did not match. (I was sent the email by “[email protected]”. I could contact “[email protected]” If I had questions but the company name was “ALVION PHARMACEUTICALS P.C.”)
8. Lastly when I googled “ ALVION PHARMACEUTICALS P.C.” They had a good website but no careers page on it and their Indeed and LinkedIn profiles had no jobs listed.
