If these people contact you, they are NOT connected to Microsoft. They tell you someone is trying to log in to your computer from Nigeria or the Bahamas. They tell you they can put security software on your computer for $XXX. Once they get you to purchase that, they call you periodically to tell you someone is trying to log in from Nigeria or the Bahamas. They tell you you can purchase additional security software at a discount price if you go to Walmart or Safeway or Albertsons (some store). They tell you to purchase the pre-paid Google Play card, to pay for it, scratch off the code, and send them a picture of the receipt/code so they can purchase the security software. They say they can purchase it at a discount if they buy it. They tell you if a store clerk asks you why you need it, don't say anything other than it's for business. The purchase amounts are limited (probably to keep scammers from scamming you), so you are instructed to buy them in $100 or $200 increments. They tell you they will refund your money because you are a customer and they don't charge their customers who have bought their security for their computers. It's all bogus. They never put the security software on your computer in the first place and they don't refund your money. They take your account information and say the money will be refunded by the next morning but it's a scam. Don't fall for it.
