Airduct 44 advertisement was 99 dollars for duct cleaning,ac and dryer vent cleaning. What I got was water sprayed on wiring,blower motor and coil wiped clean and was done. I was taking a picture of his license plate and he tried to knock my phone out of my hand.

My neighbors and I were scammed by people pretending to be someone else. They pretend to be part of a duct cleaning company, but then charge the name of the company when they get to the house. (All the names are probably fake). Then they use every high pressure sales trick in the book to get you to buy their mold treatment for your ducts for thousands of dollars. If you say you need to think about it, the price doubles. Our cameras caught the guy who came over and demanding $150 for the duct cleaning they he didn’t even do. They get their appointments by stealing other neighbor’s identities on Facebook, making a fake account (of our neighbor Diane). Then they join our private neighborhood group, and post in our group that they “need a few more neighbors for a great group discount for duct cleaning” (for $150 which is dirt cheap). We are only out $150 each, but we are sure many people are out thousands, all across the state. Please let people know. Our neighborhood group removed the fake account they were using. Please see pictures from our security cameras. And here are the phone numbers they are calling and texting from: 813-303-1181, 239-821-0707, 682-353-7345.

Facebook posted an ad for duct cleaning from a man named ***** ****** His profile pic was of him and a young kid. Thinking this was a local business I inquired. He messaged me on FB Messenger asking how many air vents, the square footage of my house and what zip code I was in. We set up an appointment for 11am November 25, 2024. At that day/time an unmarked mini van showed up at my house. Out came a man who was obviously NOT the guy in the FB ad stating he was there to clean my ducts. He had no markings on his van indicating it was a work van from any kind of company, he had no uniform, no ID tag and when I asked for a business card he said he didnt have any. Then he showed me a business card ON HIS PHONE. So I took it a step further and asked if he had a receipt since that would show his business information. He said he would email me one when he was done. NONE of this sounded legit. So I said let me see that business card on your phone. I took a pic of his phone and looked up the business- Safe Air Team , www.safeairteam.com. So now I see what looks like a legit company page. Its showing a white van with green markings identifying itself, a worker in a green shirt and green hat (uniform) and a man doing work. I used Google maps to look for the address that was on the business card-6006 Soaring Ave, Tampa, FL 33617. This comes back to a home on a residential street. The man at my house said he will get his boss on the phone. So he video chatted him. I took his phone to video chat myself with this so called boss. Again, he did NOT look like James Terry. I asked about this and was told ***** works in Tennessee, he is just a dispatcher. I think this ***** ***** doesnt even exist. That they took some unknown photos off the internet and used that face to solicit. I told the man to leave my property. Too many people are getting scammed in Florida after hurricanes Helene and Milton. I was not going to be one of them.

A Facebook profile pretended to be a neighbor in our Neighborhood’s private Facebook Group. (The group became suspicious when there were multiple other people within the group using a similar tactic.)

His name is Robert Smith - His company name is Dust Busters Air Cleaning. My sister recommended it to me now. It's been 2 years since I used this guy & my experience with him was pretty good.

But when real neighbors became suspicious, I canceled appt but still received an appointment confirmation call. I also receive an alert from my identity theft monitoring service that my email address hit an alert board.

So I did a search on phone number of text confirmation # 919-918-0223 and found the scam alert.

I made a phone call to business to clean my dryer vent. Quoted $99.00. Then told when man arrived it would be $375. for complete job. He Moved dryer and tore tubing. Placed vacuum hose in back of my dryer, then sat in car for 15 min with vac running. Brushed inside of my dryer vent from inside, approx one foot. Said did not need to do from outside, and said thats what I would get for $100.00. I asked for his name and company card. He would not give either. So I asked him to leave. I paid him nothing and told him I would speak with his supervisor and decide what I will pay if anything. I called the company and reported this. I have yet to receive a call back. I will report to Auburn, Massachusetts Police Dept.
