Scammer called from 888-457-3561 claiming to be United/Lufthansa's flight consolidator desk who helps them with phone calls. Scammer had flight details and was very convincing. They cancelled our flight, and re-booked us on another.. and in the meantime, got the credit card number. When we realized the original flight was not actually "cancelled" as they claimed, we caught the scam, and they had already tried to put through another $4000 charge on the card which was linked to aerospacetravel.net (an illegitimate website) and the state of Utah. The man on the phone was foreign.. possibly Indian. They used multiple numbers to call us back : 877-451-6811 and 888-447-6137 were some. The man on the phone claimed to be "Jonathan Coleman" and said we could call back 888-447-6137 and ask for him. They are clearly scamming a lot of people and have very detailed strategies. We were able to cancel the credit card before they could get any charges finalized.
