I am attaching information they sent me in writing, but since then, they insisted I cannot receive the balance of the loan because I did not have a positive balance in my checking account. Furthermore, the information states that the lending contract is in accordance with the "State of Miami" ???
Somehow they claimed they would be able to take care of it. When I checked my account later that day, they had made a deposit of 243.98 (on 1/21/25, I believe) in the form of a claim which they filed with Wells-Fargo. Some how this still was not enough to cover the $200 they now wanted, so they deposited another $184.98 and asked me to reimburse this amount once I got paid with my next paycheck - and pay it off via CashApp or something. By then I knew something was not right.
They have been waiting for me to restore a positive balance to my account, but I will not receive any funds until later this week.
I would like to stop this runaround once and for all. I don't mind paying back the money they put in (illegally -- will be contacting my bank as well), but this is clearly a scam. I do not want the loan at this point, of course. How can I protect myself?
