Type of a scam Debt Collections

The same just happened to me. They refuse to show any documention that I owe what they say. They are trying to get 4 grand from me or take me to court. When I said how do I settle they told me it would be 2 grand and that it had to be paid in 90 days. The company they said I owe wasn't even on my credit report nor had I ever heard from them saying I had an open balance to be paid. When I tried to look them up I can't find a website and their address is to a bunch of different places including a property management group looking for people to lease the office space. Their phone numbers come up as high scam risk but do not take me to their sites or their names like it would for other Law Offices.

Type of a scam Phishing

I received a phone call in 2023 that i was being sued for a debt from 2009. I had paid it because i assumed it was real. I made monthly payments for 10 months. I even received a paid in full statement. A few months ago my family and I received messages that i was being sued for the same debt. They said they were from the atlantic county courts and when I gave them the letter saying the debt was paid the number disconnected. It made me think about the first debt collector and after research they were a scam too. I still have the letter and emails I havrle received
