Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a voice message from Karla White telling me I was being sued and they were going to take money out of my paychecks weekly. Said I owe Over $3000 for a payday loan from EZ money. This is the first I've ever heard from anyone from this company. So I called the number that she provided on my voicemail and I talked to a lady name Angie when Angie answered all she said is hello. Didn't even tell me she was. I had to personally ask her. I asked her for the name of the company and a phone number that I could call who was sueing me and she could not give me any information except for it was EZ money who no longer was in business due to Bankruptcy. She said that EZ money sold my loan to somebody else but again she couldn't tell me who. The whole conversation was strange. She told me she would stop collections if I can make a $50 payment I panicked and I made that payment. Plus, she would reduce my debt to $1500. When my payment came out it said Harbor financial, which was a totally different company. So I called my bank and told him what happened and we returned payment as fraud plus I changed my debit card and got a new one. I can't afford to have money taken out of my weekly checks. As I investigated all of this once I got off the phone thinking who do I owe? I've never heard of this and she told me it was put into my bank in 2017. Well I called the bank She told me it was closed in 2016 after I got divorced so then I really started questioning things so I got on the web and looked up Customer Service. I called this number 1-800-291-1175. It came up as MMLLC. But it says if I've been contacted to press one. So I did that and I get a recording stating that they are aware that there is a scam going around for EZ money And to report the issue. So I actually called Angie back at Baldwin Asset recovery and told her everything and gave her all the numbers and info I had. She stated how would I know It went into and I told her I close that bank account in 2016.
