Address United Post Reports & Reviews (3)

- New Orleans, LA, USA

I thought I was changing my address on the USPS government website. Instead, an ad redirected me to a third party site, which collected credit card information, address information, and personal information. On the .gov website the forwarding address service costs $1. On Address United Post, only on your bank statement do you see that they charged $81. On this website, the price is not shown before confirming payment, nor in the receipt. No disclaimers in the information collection. An 8000% fee is a bit excessive, scammers.

I Googled "address change and the website was one of the first sites. It appears to be identical to the USPS website when you do it from your cell phone but when looking it up online it looks very fraudulent. The site ask for the prior address and new and then goes on to ask for Social security number and debit card information. The site then sends an email confirming your order request and within the email it is evident that this is not the true Post Office.

The service offered was a mailing address change. It utilized the words "USPS" over and over again. As soon as I input my information, I received a charge of $89.95. I realized this was not the correct service and called the number posted on their website. I spoke with the representative who told me none of my information was present in their system. She encouraged me to speak with my bank to uncover the number of the "merchant." I spoke with my bank and they gave me the second number of "914-354-1910." I called 5 times and there was no answer. There was no indicative voicemail of a corporation or company at all. I did not receive a call back from the number. I spoke with my bank again and filed a dispute. At 2:08 am I received an email from the "company's" email address, "[email protected]". It gave me my order confirmation number of "2118-7900-0004-1470". I called the number listed on the company's website once again, and provided my order confirmation number. They told me it was not in their system, that their confirmation numbers were made of 17 numbers and not 16. I gave them my email address, phone number, last four of my card used, last name and none of it

"indicated I have an account." I asked how they are affiliated with this agency. They told me they are located in Arizona. The address posted on their site is located in Utah, and the phone number I was given by my bank was located in New York. They stated they are 3rd party and unaffiliated with the merchant. I asked how they work with the merchant and they stated I should call my bank.
