Fitness business that just closed doors and left alot of people out of hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Leilani Nowack was head of addictive fitness in grande Prairie alberta and this summer she started selling things in her home and from the gym she closed it down with out warning and shut down her website and shut off her business phone and never warned anyone, we all expected to come back from summer holidays and its closed and we still have allot of money invested!

A gym in our area offered yearly memberships for a bootcamp for around $500. The advertising was done through Facebook and made to seem like there were only a few spots at 500 so it was important to send the money right away to secure your spot. Most ladies email transferred the money. There was an opening day for all new members to get shown the gym and sign papers. We need not receive copies of the papers we signed.

The gym operated fine for a couple months then trainers started to leave. They started hiring new trainers that didn't have any certification at all. People started getting upset but the business owner would point these people out and try to make them look bad or like a negative person for saying something.

In August the gym shut down completely and the owners (Leilani Nowack) allegedly packed up quick and skipped on building rent. Over the next few days you could find multiple posts by the owner and her husband of items from the gym and their home for sale. It looks like they are getting ready to move. * *** ** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** * *** *** There have been hundreds of ladies that have come forward saying they have bought memberships and are feeling scammed. Posts were made to the cities Facebook group and have gotten hundreds of comments.

A day after all the conversation happened on facebook the owner sent out an email claiming they were hoping to reopen in the next month but there were no set dates.

Update a few weeks later. Someone who knows the owners has came forward to say that they have moved to BC with her kids and are not planning on coming back. She refuses to answer any emails or messages from members.
