Type of a scam: Bank/Credit Card Company Imposter Scam

Received a call from US Bank(609)956-4580 in Houston, Tex. Asked for address - said it was 2105 Yale Street, Houston Texas.

Was offering loan of $7k at 3.4%. $98/mo payment for 60 months.

Went on line to verify US Bank locations in Houston. No Yale Street address. Prompted me to report a scam. Did not proceed with further contact. No money was lost.

Recent a post card in the mail that said Dear Valued customer, THANK YOU FOR NOTIFYING U.S. BANK OF YOUR ADDRESS CHANGE. I have never notified them of an address change, don't have an account with them. Have lived in the same place for almost 14 years. When I called the 800 number it asked me for the last 4 digits of my social security number or my account number (again don't have an account with them) entered 4 digits and it asked for a pin #. Now if I don't have an account with them how would I have a pin #? Never actually spoke with a person and hung up the phone right away.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from US Bank. Heather Williams. I have been online applying for loans. I was approved for a $5000 loan. I had to pay $200 for loan protection. She asked for the last four digits of my Social Security number. I gave it out over the phone. . Their phone number is 619-839-0621. I did not send any money.They sent me an Email. US Bank Loan Division 600 West Broadway St. San Diego CA 92101. I called US Bank and they told me it was a scam.
