My garage door wouldn't open and I could not get my car out. I determined I had a broken torsion spring. Called the local company listed in an internet search. Reached a service that said a tech would call me and be at my house between 11am and 1pm. Got the call. Tech arrived assessed the situation and said it would cost $375 to fix the problem. Got the door open and I removed my car. He began to disassemble and remove the broken springs. He told me he had the springs I needed and they would cost $475 a piece. I said no way, I had checked the cost of replacement springs and found them to be around $100-120 per pair. He said his were $475 and it would cost me $1450 to complete the repair. I told him no way. Call your boss and get a more reasonable price. He came back with $955. Here I was with everything apart and a gun to my head. I said ok. He did complete the job and my garage door works. I paid with a credit card. However after checking the internet I realized I have been overcharged about $600. I would not recommend this company due to the enormous overcharge. I told him I would not recommend his company.
