Received scam text about a debt collection case
"CCS: ******** ******** we're contacting you regarding a matter in our office. Please call 888-431-7820, and refer to case ********* Stop to opt out."
Upon checking my report, I could not find any listed debt I was not actively aware of and working with a collection agency on resolving (those agencies are saved as contacts in my phone so I am sure it was not one of them). I did a quick google search on the numbers and found they have been reported as scams in the past, and the AI tools suggested I delete the message, block the number, and report the message here. So that's what I'm doing.
