They called from 888-342-9218 and had the name of my spouse and said that they have a case number. My spouse called back and they had the last 4 digits of his SSN and stated that he owed $14K from 2006. My husband stated that he never had an account with US Bank, and the person became threatening and said aggressive and said he can bring it up in court to push fear into the equation. Since my husband knows he never had an account with US Bank from 2006, he thanked the person for the scam call and told him to have a nice day. Additionally, when we called the number back, 888-342-9218, it was a recording that stated that you are calling from a phone number associated with my husband's name, but then I blocked my number and called it back, and it still said it was associated with my husband's name, and then we called from another number entirely and it also said it was associated with a case involving my husband. Seems as though the number was set up for a recording regardless of the number we called from.
