I was getting phone calls from a variety of local and distant numbers -- all of which I let go to voice mail. The message was always identical: "Hi, this is Jamie. ..." Finally when I started receiving these calls daily, I called this 877 number to tell them I was not interested and to take my number off their contact list. It remains to be seen whether this was successful.
