The caller left a voice claiming to be from usbank identity verification services and wanted me to call them back at 866-268-7231. I then called usbank fraud protection directly and they confirmed that no information was needed from me and instructed me to not call that number.

I received a letter in the mail from US Bank, PO Box 6381, Fargo, ND 58125-6381 addressed to Old Dominion Soccer Club Inc. followed by my name and personal address. I volunteered with this soccer club 20+ years ago. The letter stated that they could not establish an account because they were unable to verify identification information on the application. It said to contact them at the Customer Authentication Department 866.268.7231. I did not reply or call.

Received two initial text messages about verifying my identity to proceed with opening an account with US Bank. I had a suspicion they were a scam and deleted them. I then received a letter in the mail saying they were unable to establish an account due not being able to verify identification information on the application.

Received a call reporting 'Spam' and a voice message from 'Dorothy' stating she's with Cobalt Credit Union Authentication Services needing to discuss an important matter regarding my account. Requested I immediately call back to 866-268-7231 with verification reference **************** between Mon-Fri, 7am-9pm Central Time and any rep can assist me. I called my actual bank to confirm if they contacted me (they did not) and confirm the status of my accounts. Once everything was checked and confirmed clear the rep crafted a communication to the vice president to report this information.
