Person posing for water testing left a deceptive card with a fake government number

An unidentified individual from 855-800-8326 Water Testing visited my residence in Tampa, FL, USA claiming to be conducting "water testing" for a "Public Awareness Program." The individual was not wearing an official City of Tampa uniform and did not arrive in a marked municipal vehicle. The individual stated that they were affiliated with Hillsborough County. They left a card (attached) that mimics a government notice, using a logo similar to the Florida State Seal. The card directs residents to call 855-800-8326 to schedule a testing appointment. Upon research, this number is not affiliated with the City of Tampa Water Department or any official Florida state agency. This appears to be a deceptive lead-generation tactic used by a private water filtration company to gain entry into homes under the guise of official business. I am reporting this to warn other residents of these high-pressure, misleading sales tactics.
