Scam

Called from a private number saying I had a court date in my county and wanted to verify my address so they could serve me with court papers this afternoon. The first thing she asked was if I was still at X address. The address they had, I moved from several years ago. I thought it was kind of weird that she didn't ask what my new address was. Wouldn't give me any info, but lady said I needed to call (855) 329-7921. I called and it went to VM with a generic recorded message. Looked up the number and here we are.

Scam!

Someone called me and said that they were trying to locate me to serve me papers for court and that someone was taking me to court and they provided me with this (855)329-7921 number where they were trying to get all my personal information and money out of me. SCAM! I called the court house that they claimed I was supposed to have court in and they said it is indeed a scam.

Called saying an amount of money was owed or they would serve at a last known address but also called multiple family members who live out of state and said they would serve then to and then were trying to get them to pay on my behalf to take care of so called debt byt wouldn’t take anything other than visa or gift card as payment
