I received a phone call from 411 Smart Search. They say that what they do is to get your website more traffic by using key words for people to search. They also talk to you as if you already have an account with them. They will walk you through a process and ask for key words that describe your company so they can add it to an SEO. They don't fully explain what they are doing and again, make it seem like you already have an account with them. Then they add you to their 411smartsearch website and they hit you with a $1,500 (for two years) invoice for doing 10 mins of work. They also told me it was supposed to be $745 and was never mentioned that it was going to be for two years. Here is where the fun part starts. Once you refuse to pay them because you realize that their service is horrible, they will then keep contacting you for the money and start telling you that if you don't pay they will take you to collections. It has been two months since this has happened, I have not been taken to collections. Then they said that they will take me to legal proceedings. That has been two weeks ago and I have gotten zero legal documents from them. They do everything they can to try and scare you to paying but they won't follow through with it. They also show you a voice recording of you talking. Whatever you do, DO NOT give a dollar to this company. Also, I requested to have my website taken off of their website but they tell me they cannot for some magical reason.

I was contacted by this company and they started immediately into "updating" my profile on 411 smart search. I am a realtor so I have hired companies like this in the past. I mentioned noy knowing I had a profile and figured it must have been a free profile...they casually mentioned " oh yes our we did free profiling during covid"...They tape recorded my conversation then sent me an invoice for something I did not approve. Strong arming me into paying over $800...Total scam. DO NOT TALK TO THEM

Someone from this company called me while I was driving and said that I had been given a complimentary year of their service. The lady I spoke to asked if I'd be interested in continuing on with the service for an annual fee. I explained that I was driving and not in a position to make such decisions. I needed to see more details about the service, exactly what was being offered and how it would benefit my business. She updated and verified some of my business details and transferred the call to another person who verified more information and said additional info would be sent out to me.

Several weeks later I started receiving calls from them asking about a past due invoice. I eventually spoke with the person who was calling and he insinuated that the invoice was past due and the matter needed to be dealt with immediately. I eventually found a copy of this "invoice" in my junk email folder. It was for $1563.25 for two years service. I now see that my business is listed on their site without any authorization from me. I'd never even heard of this company before they called me.

It seems to me that they try and trick you into listing your business on their site and then charging you for it after the fact. I have no intention of paying this invoice but after reading previous complaints, I expect I'll start getting calls from collection agencies. Wondering if anyone has had any success making them go away.

I received a call from 411 Smart Search a few weeks ago at work. They went over my listing details and then asked me which plan I would like to have. I asked them if we had these services already and they answered that it was to renew these services. I agreed for them to send me the invoice. I do not authorize payments, it is a board decision. Some time goes by and I receive another call. The lady was not very nice after I told them I spoke to my manager and she said we never had any services with them. She said I gave verbal consent on the phone and it must be paid. As the lady was raising her voice, I told her she can speak to my manager directly. She called manager and very aggressively to her she had to pay this invoice and would take her to court if she didn't pay. My manager hung up on her since she would not stop demanding money. Now I get this email from them demanding I pay this invoice and that they are unable to cancel. Definitely some kind of scam. If you receive any calls from them, do not answer any questions and simply say "not interested" or hang up!

Received an invoice for "pro service package" that we never agreed upon nor wanted. Same thing they called us and confirmed details they already had about our business. And they think they can charge us and threaten us to take it to credit collections. It's a straight up scam. Avoid them at all cost and hang up if they ever call you about your business. Also it should be illegal to record your call without your knowledge and use it against your business.

I believe that 411 smart search.ca has increased my visibility. I have been my revenue from just this one marketing service rise over time.
i believe it is a reasonable service and will help generate income.

Company kept calling saying I had to pay for an online search product I never ordered. I told them I didnt want it and they kept calling. Now theyre sending invoices saying its past due along with options of how to pay it.

Recieved call at my home business, verifying my information. Offering free service which quickly turns into asking for payment. I could pay right then or get an invoice. After invoice came, they called to make sure I was going to pay it. I said that I wouldn't as they were trying to scam me. 3 or 4 different calls from different numbers, saying it was too late to cancel and they would send it to collections if I didn't pay. I've started hanging up on them.

An employee received a phone call for advertising services which we do not require as we are a First Nation. She provided her email to get them off the phone as they were incredibly persistent, then we received an invoice for $695 for pro package service for one year. We did not receive any services or agree to any, and when we tried to call it has gone to voicemail.* ******* *** **** *** **** *** ***** * *** ***** ******** ** ******* * ****** *** **** ** **** *** ****** *****

I received a call from 411 smart search while at work to confirm my online listing for the upcoming year. I asked why as I have never advertised with them or wanted to advertise with them before. They explained that my listing was complimentary up until this point. They went through explaining how good my listing did and I told them that I would need to see proof of how well my listing did before I agreed to pay for something I hadn’t before. They mistook that to send me an invoice for $799.25 and my company name wasn’t even spelled right! Which for a company whose one job it is to create a listing they didn’t even spell check the company name??? Very unprofessional! After I got home from work I did some research and found out about all these problems similar businesses were having with the same Company 411 smart search. I also checked the website which didn’t even work and decided there was no way I’m going to pay that invoice. They purposely mislead me and recorded me agreeing to confirm my details found online. They called back about a week later and I explained to them that they didn’t spell my company name right and they never sent any proof of how my listing did (probably because there wasn’t even a listing) and that I wasn’t going to pay for a listing that they didn’t even spell check and for a website that doesn’t even work. They said ok and hung up. I thought that was the end of it and received a call about 2 months later asking for payment about the invoice and I told them I wasn’t going to pay and they threatened to take me to collections saying they have a recording of me. I was unaware they were recording me at the time and never officially said that I was agreeing into a contract. There are so many of these issues with anything 411 related so a word of advice, If they call you just hang up. Don’t even talk to them.
