Consumer received phone call (202 527-9723) noting they qualified for a government grant in the amount of $15,000.00. They were told they needed to purchase gift cards in order to get this grant. The consumer purchased 5 gift cards in the following denominations $200, $400, $400, $300, $150. They then gave the card number to the scammer. They were asked to get one more for $500, which they did not purchase.
