WSS Logistics Reports & Reviews (3)

The “seller” of a vehicle has left the car with WSS logistics. As the “seller” is recently divorced “she” has moved back to live with her parents. WSS will arrange for an escrow, deliver the car and you have 7 days to try the car and return it. You call them and they arrange with their “finance department” to get you the wire details. You need to hurry though as the trust account is only open for 2 hours after you receive the email. They provide the escrow details. The account is a residential address in Philadelphia for an LLC that has no records.

A car ad is placed on Autotrader. You contact the “seller” for a vehicle advertised for sale on the site. The car is in Texas. The “seller” emails a response and provides photographs. You want to come and see the vehicle. Unfortunately, the “seller” is no longer in Texas as “she” has divorced and returned to “her” parents. Luckily though “she” has left the vehicle with WSS Logistics. They run an escrow and delivery service, and will contact you to arrange delivery and give you the coordinates to wire funds to. You call them up “Martin” checks in with his “finance department” to check that they will mail you the escrow details. Once the funds are received, you will receive the vehicle in 3 days and then have 7 days to decide if you want to keep it. The wire details are only active for a few hours so you have to hurry to make the transfer. The seller becomes very active on email and is checking in too and “calling WSS” to check that you’ve got the invoice. The website looks good: WSS has won awards 3 years running and the testimonials from many happy customers are glowing: they will only ever use WSS in the future. You check where the funds are being wired: The transfer turns out to be to an “LLC” with an address in a residential building in Philadelphia. Strange? The address of WSS turns out to be a Delta Airlines hangar in Minneapolis. Strange? If you don’t realize this before the wire has gone, good luck to you. When you google search using text from the website, there is another website with identical text. The address for this “shipping” company is a convenience store next to an out of town home improvement center.

Searching for a new boat on boattrader.com and found one that sounded way too good to be true. A 2016 Nautique Super Ait Nautique G25. Low retail for the boat is $99K but the seller was selling this one, in perfect condition without a scratch or ding, for $19,900. The seller, Lisa Miller, listed the boat in Lynchburg VA but after initial email said she won the boat in a divorce and moved to Minneapolis back in with her parents to get her life back on track. After asking if I could see the boat before any kind of purchase interest she instructed that World Shipping Safe Logistics (WSS) is housing the boat and will broker the entire sale and transfer of the title because she is too busy for meetings. She said WSS would send the boat to me and she would cover all shipping costs then I would have 7 days to inspect and test drive the boat before WSS distributes any funds to Lisa. She needed my name and address before WSS would contact me to set up arrangements. Within 6 minutes of sending her that info WSS sent me an email instructing me to pay for the item via Bank Wire Transfer. I immediately emailed Lisa and said I would absolutely not wire money and would come get the boat if it were a true sale. She said she canceled the invoice and will move on to more interested buyers. When I searched WSS logistics address it came up as a Delta Airlines cargo storage building. I could not find WSS on LinkedIn and they are not registered with BBU. After searching more on BBU website there are multiple scams where the seller went through a divorce and moved back in with their parents to get their life back on track and selling the boat they won in a divorce settlement through a logistics company.
