Global Tech Partnered with WLS
I was contacted by Global Tech, techs- Mark Wilson, Ryan Cooper, James Smith. Their company went out of business and were ordered to refund initial start-up charge amount. I have been giving the run around in trying to get the refund. No longer in service phone numbers. Busy signals on phone. Not given a simple email link to start the refund process myself. That was the last time I talked to a person.

You are lucky that they were not able to access your computer to give you a refund! They cleaned out my checking and savings account. Fortunately Scotiabank recognized the activity and reversed the transaction right away. The initial charge I am still fighting that with my credit card company.

I received a new HP laptop (had it for only 2 hours). Never having a laptop before, I was getting familiar with it. I received free support and was entering the website when alarms starting going off....indicating my laptop had a virus and not to exit....to call the number indicated for assistance. Thinking this was coming from anti-virus on the computer, I called the number. They convinced me my computer was compromised and for me to allow them to dial into my computer for them to see the problem...(I kept thinking I probably shouldn't be doing this, but they kept assuring me this was ligitimate) They showed me areas on my computer that were infected (network firewall-none, no virus protection, reset ip address, delete malware from network, etc) and that if i purchased a "network security" it would prevent this from happening in the future. I kept thinking I shouldn't do this, but they were very convincing. And thinking I didn't want future issues with my laptop, I gave into the scam. I gave them my credit card....they signed a document for me (not my signature on it) to agree to their terms.

You got scammed. These freaks tried it with me 5 yrs ago. Different company name though. I searched for the company and it had scant information; only operating for 7 months.
My bank confirmed that these people are a scam. I just had a 20 minute argument with their "service department" and he couldn't keep his story straight. Said that I purchased their services 5 yrs ago with a credit card I've never had. Refuses to send a letter or email explaining renewal or cancellation of this so-called security service. Total BS!
