Using this email ************[email protected]
and this phone number:
###-###-####?
He spoke with an accent I am not sure I can place accurately.
The man I agreed to 'work' with then set up various seemingly legitimate avenues with which to solicit details that can be used in identity theft; my address, government ID, etc, but would not grant my request for his personal info/his company's info so that I could verify and feel safe sharing my info. I only shared my phone number and my email with him, but he is very convincing; if I were less cautious he might have convinced me.
He used the website Invitation Homes as his 'company'
************************************************ and specifically asked me to set up a Facebook marketplace posting for 'his property,' which I read on Invitation Homes is specifically identified as fraud (see link above).
He also asked me to set up an email account, which I did.
I have now deleted the email account and Facebook account.
FYI
I want to protect other people from falling into this trap and wasting their time, or becoming victims of identity theft.
Thanks.
