I sent out the ring and waited for the next packages. My dumb butt actually thought it was legit. I’m usually so careful I don’t even open emails I don’t know, and never answer unknown calls. But I sent out a ton of applications for work in my new state. I had to answer calls and emails and that’s how they got me. I thought I finally lucked out with a work from home job so I can help take care of the kids. They felt legit as I’ve only ever done interviews over the phone for work, and my friend said it seemed to good to be true. So after about 4 days of not working my friend and I looked into them, and discovered they are fraud. I got the last two packages they sent to me and I notified the authorities and turned everything in and filed a report. They are still trying to convince me that they are legit and that legal action will be taken if I don’t send the packages. They even have 6-7 people in on this pretending to be various departments in the “business”. they all sound Asian btw one may or may not be tho his English is very good. Some sounding so professional and sincere I almost second guessed myself, until I came across this post about the ring. The ring looked like cheap metal and was roughly cut… so fake but I sent it anyway. The only red flag I got was the fact that my address was on the return address. To me this post about the ring was solid proof. Thank you for sharing about the scam. I hope this reaches more people. I got like 15 calls this morning and a few emails of “proof” of their company legitimacy. No company would harass someone like this, they would just send cops to my address. Or simply hand over my info to law enforcement to handle it. I’ve been blocking numbers. They wasted my time, and I feel stupid because I have 5 kids to feed, and I don’t have time like that to waste.
Because I filled out so many applications and threw my info everywhere so fast I don’t know if they got my social, but I have to get a new number, a new bank account, I froze my social security, and I created a new email. I even went as far as changing all my passwords on important apps and websites I frequent because I used a favorite password on the “portal” log in.
Please be careful out there. And if they show up to my house I’ll come back and update their consequences. 😈 I’m in az the gun laws here are heavenly.

It was an on-phone interview. They said that all I needed was a printer. The job was told to me step by step. Packages would be sent to my house, I was to inspect them to see if it was damaged. Then I was to print a shipping label, attach it to the resealed package and ship it out. They sent me a ring as a first package. It was supposed to be $600 but it looks very fake. I spoke to my dad as he felt something was wrong with the job. After doing the research, we found out that the address lead to a hydraulic repair company. I'll never believe these at home jobs again.
