I received an email saying they found my resume from Career Builder job board and wanted to set up an interview electronically because of covid. The email went into detail about the job description and equipment they would purchase for me to work from home. It sounded fishy, like a money laundering scam, so I researched the company domain and found the registration was private, which is unusual for a large business. Further research lead me to this scam report. They send you money with a fraudulent e-check and then ask you to purchase gift cards. After you purchase the gift cards, the e-check is rejected by your bank and the funds are withdrawn and you are out the money you spent.
