Well Now charged $240 for a medical shoe that sells for $22 on Amazon.

I recently suffered a foot injury on July 26, 2022, and sought medical care at the Wellness Now facility in Clay, New York. Treatment consisted of an x-ray, a buddy splint of two toes, and walking shoe. The "additional medical supplies" provided to me were standard medical grade cloth tape to "buddy" splint the last toes and soft velcro cast shoe. The soft velcro cast shoe charges from Well Now (WellNow.com) was a $240.00 medical supply cost, yet an identical product sold on Amazon is $21.99. Considerable markup price!

I am entirely appalled at the overinflated medical supply charge - considering I have worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years and am knowledgeable in materials, logistics, and peri-operative services at the state & federal levels. In addition, it is shameful that the general population without medical backgrounds usually makes arrangements to pay such ridiculous claims for unanticipated medical treatment.

I disputed the claim in August, and they are unwilling to verify the pricing for the soft-cast shoe. I am not sure this is a reportable offense, yet I wonder what other ridiculous medical supply charges are not getting caught from Well Now?
