junk faxer

Oddly enough, the junk fax suggests that they would like to buy disused RVs, but the phone numbers match -- 813 585 5583 -- and the web site gives impression
that they are unreliable.

Suspect that the same scammers have multiple operations, and perhaps the junk fax co cannot keep them straight. I also got a roof scam fax, but different phone number.

On 6/22/23 a truck pulls up with 4 men pulling trailer with big white plastic box in it. It supposedly contained tar left over from a big job. Older person says will give discount to spray on metal roof as a rubber roof coating. This is and mobile home 55+ community. Keeps selling saying it will be a discount of $800.00 to use up tar from other job. When saying no kept on saying will how about just the seams for $300.00. I agreed gave $250.00 cash and went to write check when after guys went on roof said it needed a complete coating. I didn't want to, but older guy kept pressuring saying I have a large family I have to take care of and you're getting a discount, and on and on. I agreed and wrote additional check for $550.00 from Wells Fargo account. As soon as guys got back in truck, we had a severe thunderstorm with heavy amount of rain. I checked the roof with friend that was here with me the entire time. There was no evidence that anything was done except some black on my painted eve of roof. I called immediately and was told I was not the only one that called them and that another job called also. They said it did not have time to cure and rescheduled for Monday 6/26/23.

On 6/26/23 No answer x2 at number. I reported to local police as spam. Police officer said they no longer had a spam department, and nothing could be done. Finally, I got an answer at number and was told "Uncle in intensive care unit......and whole family was there." Rescheduled for Saturday 7/1/23.

7/1/23. No call, no show, no answer. Call Wells Fargo Bank. Someone told me they still could do something in their fraud deportment even though it was a check and they cashed it as soon as they got it. I had checked. Finall got an answer, was told they had two other big jobs to do with family and rescheduled for 7/3/23 and would give me a double coating.

7/3/23. No call, No show, called Wells Fargo filed claim. Claim #2*********418

Now I am reporting this to Better Business Bureau in hopes it doesn't happen to any more in my area targeting these fixed income mobile home communities and taking our money. If there is any way to get my money back, it would be GREATLY APPRICIATED. it has put a hardship on me.
